Every run season, I start my run list from scratch. I keep a few old faves and try to bring in some new beats to keep the list fresh and motivating. What is on your go-to playlist?

Old faves:
- American Idiot, Green Day
- Shut Up and Drive, Rihanna
- Burn it to the Ground, Nickelback

New on my list:
- Scream and Shout, & Britney Spears
- Stompa, Serena Ryder
- I Will Wait, Mumford & Sons

Still like a little AC/DC. It's old but still good for running.

Nike commissioned LCD Soundsystem to create a soundtrack specifically for running - it's pretty good with good pacing. "45:33"

I used to make mix CDs for running where it would start slow, build in intensity, and have a nice cool down song or two at the end. The LCD Soundsystem one does just that - but all from one artist.

I don't run, but I do have a "ride-bike-to-work" playlist that I am constantly adding new tracks to.
It's a melange of downtempo, house, and some underground hard-to-find B sides of records I have back from my DJ years. Nothing too fast, nothing too slow, and definitely nothing harsh/grating/twangy (so: no metal, no country):

This world - Zero 7
Intimate Confessions - Phonat
If Only - Harlem Knights (Joshua Iz Vizual Dub)
Place to Belong - Little Dragon
106 Downtown - Vincenzo (Genius of Time Remix)
Damn - Nightmares on Wax
After the Rain - Little Dragon
Maybe next lifetime - Swans reflecting Elephants (King Britt Dub)
We'll be there - People under the stairs (10 Seconds Remix)
Pipes Honour - Nightmares on Wax
The L.A. Song - People Under the Stairs
Schooled in the Trade - People Under the Stairs
Feather - Little Dragon
Path of least Resistance - Vincenzo
Crazy - Ornette (Phonique Remix)
Going to the core - Andre Lodemann
Figaro - Madvillain
Jealous of Roses - Bibio
The great London traffic - Morcheeba
San Francisco Knights - People under the Stairs
The Season - Beanfield

The pace varies from track to track - I crave novelty so I am usually shuffling them into random order and always adding new tunes. Litmus test for inclusion is that it must give me goosebumps when I hear it.

I am always looking for new songs so thanks to those who added theirs. These are some of my favourites from various playlists:

Running - Jully Black (kind of obvious, but I always start my runs with this song)
Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5
Big Hoops - Nelly Furtado
Scream and Shout - Spears
Say Hey (I love you) - Michael Franti
Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke
Get Lucky - Daft Punk
Switch - Will Smith
Wake Me Up - Avicii
